This article examines the role of the market in politics and political developments, focusing on the fourth decade of the Islamic Revolution of Iran. This period, due to political, economic, and social developments, created specific conditions in the interaction between the market and politics. The market is seen as a decisive actor in the decision-making process, decision-making, and political and social actions, and the mutual effects of the market and the government are in the context of events. The impact of the government's economic policies on the market and, consequently, the effects of the market on government policies and the process of political developments in the country have been of particular sensitivity. In addition, the role of civil and social institutions in the formation of economic policies and market management is significant, and the impact of social networks and informal economic activities of marketers on political developments has also been prominent. The main question is what role did the Tehran market play in the political developments of the fourth decade of the Islamic Republic? To answer this question, a descriptive-analytical method was used, and the theory of institutionalism and theories focused on the market and politics were considered in the analysis and study. It has used the tools of library studies and document review. The findings indicate that in the fourth decade, the role of the market in politics is evident as a combination of supporter-challenger.
