In recent years, environmental crises such as water scarcity, air pollution, soil erosion, and deforestation have highlighted the urgent need for transformative changes in Iran's environmental policies. The transformation of environmental policies and the preservation of natural resources have been key priorities of the 13th government in Iran. This article aims to examine the transformative approach of the 13th government in protecting the environment and natural resources, analyzing its measures, policies, and challenges. The study employs a mixed-methods (quantitative-qualitative) approach using the SWOT model. In the qualitative section, data was collected from official documents, government reports, and credible sources, while the quantitative section involved distributing questionnaires among experts to gather their opinions. The findings indicate that the 13th government has taken significant steps toward environmental conservation by implementing policies such as strengthening the resistance economy, promoting renewable energy, combating desertification, reviving wetlands, allocating budgets to water supply projects and underdeveloped regions, and engaging in water diplomacy and international relations. However, challenges such as financial constraints, climate change, conflicting development interests, and the incomplete mission of the 13th government have hindered the full implementation of these programs
