The Strait of Hormuz, as the world’s most vital energy highway, plays a pivotal role in the geometry of power and security equations of the Middle East. This research aims to explain the strategic position of this strait in the “civilizational geometry of resistance” and has been conducted using a directional qualitative content analysis method and a strategic case study strategy. The research data has been collected in a library-documentary form from reliable international sources, the archive of the Supreme Leader’s statements, and reports of strategic research centers, and has been validated using the triangulation strategy of sources.The research findings are organized into three main axes: first, the legal, historical, and identity dimensions of the Strait of Hormuz, which constitute the cornerstone of Iran’s civilizational sovereignty; second, the role of this waterway in energy security and the resistance economy, which has become a lever of geoeconomic deterrence; and third, Iran’s asymmetric military strategies in the Strait of Hormuz and its connection to the resistance axis network. The research results show that Iran’s power architecture in the Strait of Hormuz has created a model of “civilizational deterrence” in which geoeconomic levers, asymmetric military power, diplomatic capacities, and identity ties are simultaneously used to contain threats and secure national interests.
